With common core now in place at all grade levels throughout the vast majority of states, teachers will benefit from having at their immediate disposal a wide variety of quick formative assessment routines to monitor classroom grasp of key lesson concepts.
This
formative assessment link offers still more tools for teachers to not only monitor student understanding, but also to accomplish this task through a rich variety of approaches. After all, students are more likely to be actively engaged in the learning process if they are able to demonstrate understanding through a wide range of approaches covering all the learning styles.
