Teaching History Via Teacher Created Music Videos:)

Imagine the excitement of your students to hear history themes turned into pop songs:) When teachers allow students to interact with content via different learning styles, they make it possible for more students to master the content goals of the teachers. In this site, some very creative teachers from Hawaii have taken some of the works of artists like Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and more and turned them into some seriously cool visual history lessons.

Here is the link: HISTORY THEMES VIA POP SONGS

For struggling students, this might be another tool to help them access the material. With the lyrics and some time in class using the videos, students would have another study tool that might beless overwhelming than a text (though it would never take the place of the book--instead it might make the text more accessible since it would provide background knowledge to make the text less intimidating).

You might want to subscribe to TEACHER TUBE (free) to see more of these videos along with lessons.

I hope you enjoy the site:)
