Can the Study of Geography Lead to Great Careers? YES!

If you have ever had students who asked you what kind of career could the study of geography lead to, you will want to inspire them with this video.

Thanks to the Google Earth, Environmental Defense Fund, Federal Emergency
Management Agency, etc., students will see scientists discuss how their knowledge of geography assists them in meeting the demands of their high pressure jobs. For example, FEMA is an agency that assists people struggling with natural disasters (ex. Katrina and its struggle to survive a class 5 hurricane). Using geography makes the rescue attempts a bit easier since the guess work is removed.

This is a short video, but one that will stay with students for quite a while:)
