Math Support for ALL Students in ALL Grade Levels!

If you are a math teacher (basic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, or calculus, you will want to bookmark (or save as a favorite) this site. This website offers exercises, games, and most importantly, highly detailed (but not overwhelming) video explanations of all the major mathematical subject areas. The videos are short and well planned. I liked the absence of clutter. This type of layout keeps ELLs focused. It is easy to navigate so with minimal directions, kids can stay on task for individual practice.

For whole group, hook your computer to an LCD projector, show the video while students take notes on key vocabulary used for example. Here the ELLs get listening and writing practice. With this whole class approach, you can also do math games like jeopardy. This might be a way to do a great review of homework, a pre-test practice session, or a quick assessment on student understanding.

Try the site and see how your students react to it. I think they will like it:)
