A TOTALLY FREE LEARNING NETWORK FOR KIDS!

If you have been looking for sites to add to your instruction, look no further. This site offers students different avenues to explore astronomy, biology, animals, geology, dinosaurs, and much more.

Teachers can use short videos on key content in the subject areas covered. There are 44 videos in all. Each one hones in on one academic subject and clearly explains the concept addressed. These videos might be used in a lesson if the teacher wants to underline key points or clarify some misconceptions kids might have. Podcasts are also available for all content areas.

If your ELLs need more materials to help them follow the lesson, they will find additional activities (including GAMES) to give them more time to process the content. Of course, English only students would enjoy this site as well, but often times, it is the ELL who fails to grasp the key concepts and academic vocabulary in a lesson. With a site such as this, they would be able to spend more time processing information at home (or in school in a computer lab).

KIDS KNOW IT

I hope your students have a much fun with this site as I did in reviewing it:)
